Baron Davis has decided to opt out at Golden State.Brian made it clear to Laker fans that there was no way he was coming to L.a..Coaches Mike Nolan and Lane Kiffen would both appear to be on the HOT SEAT this year.Coach Nolan needs to have success to warrant keeping his job.Coach Kiffen barely averted firing last year.Stay tuned to see what happens.
Steve spoke about winning two World Series while with the L.A. Dodgers and then took the gloves off! Steve went on to say that it was incredulous for a player to sleep at night knowing he benefiitted from cheating.The usage of steroids is just not acceptable to this old school ballplayer.Steve believes that the records of cheaters should be expounged from the record books.Thanks Steve for not being shy.
Fresno Grizzlies right fielder
Nate Schierholtzwas named to the Futures All-Star game, to be played July 13 at Yankee Stadium in the The Bronx, NY. This could make Schierholtz in line for a spot on the Olympic team in Beijing in August.
Recently, I caught up with Nate during a Grizzlies game to discuss this honor.
Click HereSchierholtz is thrilled with the honor, but would rather play for the Grizzlies' parent club, the San Francisco Giants, rather than representing his country.
Schierholtz remains one of the top San Francisco Giants prospects, having played for the Big League club last season. This year, he has remained in the minors all year. Giants player personnel director Bobby Evans has said stating in the minors will allow Schierholtz to play regularly all season, as opposed to being a bench player in San Francisco.
